Director of Bands, Brother, Dr. Jorim E. Reid


Dr. Reid is a Florida A&M University graduate marching with the Marching 100 as a Head Drum Major and saxophonist. He studied piano and oboe in school and was initiated into the Delta Iota chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi in 1993.


After matriculation, Dr. Reid took a long-term job at North Carolina Central University, taking the Sound Machine to several national events such as the Rose Bowl and Honda Battle of the Bands. After his tenure at NCCU, Reid brought his dedicated service and support to the bands at Fayetteville State University.


Reid made his appearance at the National Treasure in the summer of 2022 and has had a great impact on the culture of our chapter and band program.
